Webelos Welcome Home Troops

March 31, 2011

Webelos II Den of Pack 396 welcome home Troops at the DFW Airport in Dallas, Tx.

The Webelos II Den of Pack 396 went to DFW Airport during Spring Break to participate in the "Welcome Home the Troops" program.  Everyday more than 100 troops arrive at the airport on their way home for two weeks of well-deserved rest and recuperation (R&R).  Most of these members of the armed forces are returning home from their service in Irag and Afghanistan.

One flight returning soldiers lands at DFW every day and the warm welcome provided by volunteer greeters begins the troops' visit on a high note.  After the troops arrived, one soldier asked to take his photo with the Webelos and the Cub Scout Pack 1492 of Texas who were also there.  This soldier said that he has been to DFW three times and always appreciates the welcome he receives.

The area Webelos who went were Corbin Owens, Bryce Williams, Matthew Bloodworth and Andrew Cole.
