On July 2, 2012, Bryan Ross Council, a 27 year old male from Antlers, was charged with Burglary in the first degree, Aggravated assault and battery, two counts of Assault with a dangerous weapon and Domestic assault and battery by strangulation.
On June 30, 2012, Council broke into an Antlers residence being occupied by Terri Bridges. According to reports, Council forcibly entered the front door by kicking it in without the permission of Bridges.
Council also assaulted Bridges with a claw hook weapon and strangled her with his hands in an attempt to cause her great bodily harm.
On the same day, in t he same residence, Council also committed aggravated assault and battery upon a victim known as “D.P.” by repeatedly kicking and stomping him with force and inflicting corporal hurt and great bodily injury. Council went on to assault “D.P.” with a baseball bat weapon with the intent to do bodily harm.
Along with the charges Council currently is facing, District Attorney Mark Matloff also attached supplemental information for former felony convictions to be considered.
Council has previously been convicted of three (3) Counts of Larceny of a vehicle; Assault with a dangerous weapon; Burglary of an Automobile; and Attempting to Elude an officer, all felony charges.
Council was arrested with a bond set in the amount of $2,500.00. Council’s preliminary hearing is set for August 1st, 2012 at 9:30 a.m.
