Verna Lou Everett, 82, of Broken Bow, OK went home to be with the Lord on March 8, 2014 at Broken Bow. She was born September 2, 1931 at Broken Bow, OK, the daughter of C.W. and Eva (Smith) Hutchison. Verna had lived in Broken Bow for the past fourteen years, moving from Antlers, OK. She worked in many different positions at the Antlers Nursing Home for many years. She also worked as a personal care giver and was the Director of Antlers Day Care for many years. A devout Christian, Verna was affiliated with the Hochatown Assembly of God Church. The joy of her Verna’s life was her family and she enjoyed cooking for them and spending time with them. She and Billy Everett were united in marriage on August 17, 1958 at the Lukfata Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Jack Douglas Hutchison Jr. (Little Doug); sisters, Etta Lee Hutchison and Helen Tushka; brothers, Jack Hutchison, Calvin Hutchison, William “Toehead” Hutchison and Kenneth Hutchison; stepbrother, Herschel McCain. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of fifty five years, Billy Everett of the home; daughter, Debra Everett of Orange Park, FL; sons, Jack “Doug” Hutchison and wife Jan and Calvin Middlebrook all of Broken Bow, Kelly Everett and wife Brenda of South Coffeyville, OK; sisters, Bernice Jeter and Ida Sossamon of Broken Bow; brother, Ed Hutchison and wife Jean of Broken Bow; grandchildren, Ricky Middlebrook and wife Trista of Fullbright, TX, Michael Stewart of Orange Park, FL, Kortney Everett of Broken Bow and Garrett Everett of Sedan, KS; great-grandsons, Tanner Middlebrook and Jayden Barrick; special daughter, Patricia Myers of Antlers and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2014 at Brumley Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Don Everett and Bro Gary Everett officiating. Interment will follow at Hochatown Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday March 13, 2014 at Brumley Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made at the Alzheimer’s Association: 225 N.
